OUR MISSION

The AUA Media Lab came to exist to promote public discourse, strengthen democratic culture, nurture the development of a civic press, foster citizen engagement in social media, and advocate for the proper discernment of information.

The AUA Media Lab Supports:

1. AUA students' academic journey and serves as a practical resource for students, 2. the University's Office of Communications to enhance multimedia production in order to better promote AUA, and 3. local journalist/media companies by building capacities and promoting American best practices in journalism.

THE HISTORY

Established through a $813,135 grant from the Office of American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the AUA Media Lab was created to promote public discourse and democratic values in Armenia.
